Because I've barely ever posted to this journal....

V I T A L S T A T I S T I C S:
I'm Marion. I'm an actor and student. I like pretty things and I'm something of an aestheticist/dandy/fop. I also like steampunk.
I write. I've participated in NaNoWriMo three times and I made it to the goal of 50,000 words for the first time last year. I plan to participate again this year. You can read about my writing exploits in my other journal, <lj user="flavour-of-nano"> (although be warned that, due to lack of sleep and bounty of caffeine during their writing, posts in said journal tend to be badly punctuated and rambling, at best).
I'm a bit of a linguistics nerd, although not much of a polyglot - yet. I'm fluent in English, conversational in German, and I'm currently actively working on learning Irish Gaelic and Mandarin Chinese. I'm fond of Middle English, and by extension I love Chaucer.
I love object manipulation. I'm learning juggling, contact juggling, and poi -- although I'm far from good at any of the above. I also nurse a desire to learn diabolo, although I have yet to find anyone willing to teach me.
P O I N T L E S S N O N S E N S E:
I have ovaries and XX chromosomes, and from that you can likely determine my sex, but my gender* is a mass of neurons bound together with emotions and lambswool yarn, and you'd best back away slowly if it starts to pulse and glow. Oh, dear, you'd better back away slowly in any case.
I'm attracted to women, regardless of what's in their jeans or their genes. At the moment my word for this is 'panlesbian', but I'm having trouble labelling it. My sexuality is not nearly as rabid and uncontrollable as my gender, but it's frightened of strangers so don't get to close unless I say it likes you.
Vision is 20/20, teeth are crooked. Subject has full set of teeth. Hair is dark and quite short, as subject claims it 'gets in the way'.
*Current preffered pronouns, if anyone cares to know, are the Spivak pronouns: ey em eir eirs emself. If you use 'xe' or 'hir' I will purse my lips and narrow my eyes.
