MOUSE IN BED WTF

#1: Realizing I was gay. Technically a lesbian, but that sounds awkward. So gay it is.
I was only...about 11? at the time so it was kind of like, "Well I'm ahead of mah tiemz, aren't I?" Heh.

#2: Meeting my BESTEST FRIEND EVAR, Sarah.

#3: My parents getting divorced and my mum meeting her (awesome-sausical, I might add) boyfriend.

There are more but these are some that have affected me the most.

- Part of the realization of MAH INNER GAYNESS (*cue purple sparkles*) was, of course, coming out. Which I did first to my brother, then my mum, who at  my request passed it on to my dad. So yeah. They were like "kay I b kewl wiff eet". I'm lucky.

- Again, I'm lucky. In some ways. 'Cause like...Sarah rocks hard. And she's great. And I could go on and on.
But...I went from having no friends, to having a great, awesome, bff Sarah.

- This was a less positive one in many ways, as my dad now lives across the country and I don't get to see him as often as I'd like, so we're relatively cut off from eachother. He doesn't know I have OCD, or that I'm 25 pounds underweight, or that my cake-baking skills have improved considerably. I don't know...um...anything? IDK. My brother doesn't even want to talk to him...so yep, it's tough. But hay, life is grand. And my mum's boyfriend IS awesome-sausical. Believe eet.

...I'm weird. I know. :D

My brain is living in March, srsly.
I was dragged away from LJ by irl stuff for a couple months.... Came back on April...9th? Saw a post about the LJ user content strike scheduled for March 21st, thought it said April. Only realised today it said March.
Considering organizing a second "strike" but this time a bit different, it would last a week and go something like this:
- Delete all or all but 6 of your icons, representative of the 6-icon limit of a Basic account
- Change your interests to "bisexual, depression, fanfiction, sex" (or something similar)
- Don't post or post only about your blogs on other sites for at least 3 days out of the week.

I got the idea for 2 of these (the interests one and the blogs one) from a comment on a post about the strike...but I can't find it anymore, sorry.


Anyway, I'm not sure how I'd go about organizing this as I'm not sure anyone actually reads my LJ. If you see this, please, comment! If I get some feedback I'll look into formally organizing it. Watch this space.

So, my mother shrank my favorite skirt.
It's the ITS Rose Garden Skirt in Green, so it's not like she shrank mah (nonexistent) brandz, but it was my first skirt so it's very special to me. I TOLD her not to wash it, I TOLD her I would wash it myself, and she went and shrank it and won't even take responsibility, ranting about how "the person who made it should've shrunk the fabric".
It was made for a 26" waist. I lost a lot of weight while I had mononucleosis, and my waist is now 24", but I'm wearing it right now and struggling to breathe.
I am so pissed right now. D:

I realized today my f-list goes through approximately 986 pages a week. xD Lolz.

Had a family crisis today and thus, A SILLY POST :D
- Capelets, Boleros, and Cardigans
- Dark colours
- Thick fabrics (velveteen and the like)
- Long sleeves
- Longer skirts (I prefer below the knee (btk lolz) when I'm wearing Classic)
- Hats (I can still wear sunhats and stuff, but berets, top hats, and bowlers are kinda impractical for summer D:)
- Coats
- Socks (not entirely of course but in 90-100 degree weather...yeah)
- Layering of DOOM
- Close-toed shoes (I still CAN but my feet are overheated really easily Dx)
- Long hair (my hair has never been super long, but even just-past-shoulder length might be sweaty on hot days, so I might have to get a trim D:)
- Baked goods (I don't wear them, but.... I can't bake on hot days D:)

In short, EVERYTHING I HOLD DEAR TO. D8

As of now...I have shoes! :D A pair of lovely dark green flats with silver vine embroidery, and dark red ballet shoes with gold edging. They weren't incredibly expensive, and they match my classic stuff beautifully. :3 Now I need some cute white sandals for summer.

I had a fashion emergency today: no white short sleeved lolita tops! D: I was going to whip together a cutsew modified from a T-shirt from a tutorial on EGL, but there were literally NO plain white t's in the house. v.v
I would've worn a long-sleeved top, but it was like 90 degrees. D: Insaaaaaaane. swdpunk posted on d_l that it's 79.9 where she is (Oregon?) and I keep hearing tell of heat waves elsewhere too. What happened to my April showers?! D8

Speaking of showers, I just took a 30 minute one. x3;; My hair and skin were getting super oily, and for the first time in my life (and I call myself a teenager?!) I broke out in acne today. Hoping to nip it in the bud before it got all ouchie (I don't care about the fashion as much as the comfort), I whipped up the following multipurpose hair/skin deoiler. :D Deoiler is now a word. BELIEVE EET.

3 parts unflavored yogurt (I used yogurtcheese as it was all we had, but it worked fine)
2 parts honey
A few drops lemon juice

I slathered it on my face and hair, making sure to scrunch it into my scalp with my fingers, let it sit for about 8-12 minutes, then rinsed. Voila! :D I also rinsed my hair in a mixture of cold tea, lemon juice, and a liiiiitle bit of dish soap. n_n;;

Anyway, my efforts seem to be proving fruitful, as my hair feels lovely and my skin is oh-so-soft. The acne remains, but a week or so more of this should deal with that. >:D Die, spots! Die!

I've been working on sewing myself a summer wardrobe on a low budget. :D I found an old sheet with a lovely blueXpink plaid print, rather reminiscent of past AP and BTSSB series. I think I'll make a skirt. I'm making myself some bloomers at the moment, which I was desperately in need of...and have managed to sew my first ever decent hand-sewn seam! :D I'm all happy about that now.
I've been finding cute, simple, summery brand JSKs that wouldn't be too hard to replicate, mostly in white and cream. :3

Anyway, later in the month I might post piccus of mah sewing prawgekz, so stay tune-ed! :D

So, I was setting out on a lovely walk in semi-casual lolita - green floral stockings, the FRILLIEST SKIRT EVAR short of brandz, a simple green shirt and my favorite green brocade jacket.
I had hardly gotten a step off my own property when the evilcrazydog from across the street - carelessly off-leash - ran at me. It was all I could due to run...and having exactly 0 shoes, loli or otherwise, at the moment, I was borrowing a pair from a friend, which happened to have very slippery soles. I akidded on the steep, rain-damp cement driveway and ripped two huge, irreparable holes in my stockings, as well as badly scraping my knee (the wound likes to suddenly start bleeding in the middle of the night. >__<), not to mention getting my hair mussed up. CURSES. D8< I will rain death upon those who aided that unholy terror of a dog....
They should just be glad I wasn't wearing brand. Then I'd rain extra death upon them. Twice.
